Paula Levesque-Woods, Director
Paula Levesque-Woods joined the staff of the Academy of Early Learning in the summer of 2008, as director of the summer program. Rather than return to her position in public school with Special Education, Mrs. Levesque-Woods accepted a preschool position at the Academy of Early Learning. She holds her B.A. in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Needs (Pre to 12). She is also EEC certified Lead Teacher and Director I and II. Mrs. Levesque-Woods is now the year round director of the Academy of Early Learning. She lives in Hyannis with her husband and is the mother of identical triplets. They are currently attending college and have been assisting with the AEL summer program for many years.

Diane Huban, M.Ed., Kindergarten and First Grade
Diane Huban joined the staff of the Academy of Early Learning in 2008. Mrs. Huban began her teaching career as a music teacher in Framingham, MA. In addition to teaching the kindergarten and first grade at the Academy of Early Learning, Mrs. Huban has also taught first and third grades in public school. Mrs. Huban earned her bachelor's degree in music education from Boston University. In 2005, she earned her master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from St. Joseph College, graduating summa cum laude. Mrs. Huban is an active member of both the Falmouth Chorale and the Falmouth Chamber Singers and serves on the Board of the Directors of the Chorale. She lives in Falmouth with her husband, Stephen, and is the mother of two grown children, Patrick and Rebecca.

Ellen Puopolo, Preschool
Ellen Puopolo joined the Academy of Early Learning staff in 2004. She graduated cum laude from Southeastern Mass University (now UMass Dartmouth) with a degree in Art Education. Her teaching career began in Chatham, continued to Leominster, and then back to Cape Cod where she taught Art at the elementary level in Brewster for many years before leaving to raise her young family. Originally hired as the Physical Education and Art Specialist for the Academy of Early Learning, Mrs. Puopolo began teaching in our Preschool classroom in 2006. She enjoys using her background in the Arts and her love of children's literature to enhance her students learning with creative art enriched activities and experiences. Mrs. Puopolo is married with three children.

Marybeth Hogan, M.Ed., Preschool
Marybeth Hogan joined the staff of the Academy of Early Learning as the teacher for the 3-year old program in 2011.Mrs. Hogan earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 1991 from Fitchburg State College and her Masters of Education in Learning Disabilities in 2008 from Rivier College. She has experience in the early childhood and special education field and has taught in both public and private schools. Mrs. Hogan lives in Sandwich with her husband, Scott, and her son, Scotty.

Liz Smith, Preschool
Liz Smith graduated with high honors from Cape Cod Community College in 2012, earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. She continues her education as a student at Bridgewater State University, furthering her studies in Early Childhood Education, as well as pursuing a major in Psychology. Liz completed her student teaching at Harwich Elementary School, working in an integrated preschool classroom. She also spent a year tutoring first grade readers at the Horace Mann Charter School. Liz lives in Harwich with her husband, daughter and their two labs and two cats.
